One Last Look was a prelude. The Signalrunners' third release constituted the elevation.
Electric Sheep (Original Mix)
From an interview:
Signing ‘Electric Sheep’ was a big moment for me, as it was a big step in a new direction in developing my production sound.
Electric Sheep is momentous in every situation. The style is drenched to the bone in the feeling of running signals, more so than any other song before & after. The complexity of the bassline imbricated with a slower melody in this case might not sound accorded to the best of their ability, though the intrigue & passion overwhelms that. The tune ends strangely abruptly.
Electric Sheep (Nitrous Oxide Remix)
This is N2O, this EP, & pleasure at their definitive apogee.
Many N2O remixes are presbyopic, scummy conversions to orthodox trance. This is not one of those. This is one of his genuinely ardent reworks. & as befits the name of Nitrous Oxide, it is transmundane.
He extracted the slower melody from the OM, & replaced all else with another creative inferno. This time, the melody is completely warped from another dimension, a perspective thaumaturgically umbriferous & breathtaking. & preluding his album.
